Through Amy’s Place of Hope, Build Promise provides a Community Access Center and 96 bed men’s shelter that brings critical services together in one accessible location – delivering integrated support in the heart of Buffalo’s most underserved neighborhood.
Guided by the example of Jesus, Amy’s Place is a beacon of hope so all people know that God’s mercy is for them.

Amy Betros devoted her life to loving God and serving Buffalo’s poor. Though she passed before seeing her dream fulfilled, her vision lives on through Amy’s Place of Hope – a ministry of Build Promise – a lifeline for Buffalo’s most vulnerable. In the heart of the East Side, we offer hope, kindness, dignity and a path to stability — sharing the love of Christ through practical help and compassionate care.
Our Community Access Center meets the needs of underserved neighbors and homeless men in our East Side community, with more services coming in 2026.
